Desiree Fortson is an accomplished PR professional, specializing in media relations, influencer marketing, crisis communication, and strategic communication. She holds a master’s degree in public and organizational relations and a bachelor’s in justice studies, both from Montclair State University.
Throughout her academic journey, Desiree was engaged on her college campus. She was an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and served as chapter president for both her sorority and the local NPHC chapter. Additionally, she served as a Health Promotion Advocate with the Office of Health Promotion.

Desiree’s academic excellence earned her the Karol Moll and Speech Scholarship, and she was inducted into organizations like the National Honor Society for Leadership and Success and the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society, the sole Criminal Justice Honor Society accredited by the Association of College Honor Societies. She also gained valuable experience through internships, including with Weber Shandwick’s corporate issues and crisis team.
As a dedicated professional committed to achieving impactful results, Desiree is passionate about assisting brands in generating positive exposure, advocating for DEI initiatives, and promoting awareness of women’s mental health.
